The policy does not apply to entities that the Company does not own or control, or persons that the Company does not employ or manage. Nevertheless, the Company will take all reasonable means to maintain your privacy as described below when working with third parties.

The Company reserves the right to update and change the Policy from time to time without notice. Any new features that augment or enhance the current Service, including the release of new tools and resources, shall be subject to the Policy. Your Bibdex Account

You do not require a Bibdex Account to access the Website or the Service. Certain portions of the Website and the Service can be viewed and materials uploaded to without a Bibdex Account. You also can contact customer support directly without having to register for an account.

For some activities, such as accessing private areas or signing materials you upload, you need a Bibdex Account. We ask for some personal information when you create an account, including your email address and a password, which is used to protect your account from unauthorized access. We also require your full legal name and ask you to optionally provide additional biographical information which will be publicly displayed in your profile. The Company owns the representation of the account, but you own your personal details and profile.

Children under the age of 13 are prohibited from using the Service or creating a Bibdex Account.

Information Collection

The Company collects personally identifiable information when you register for a Bibdex Account, when you use the Service, and when you engage with marketing activities like promotions or sweepstakes. The Company may also receive personally identifiable information from our business partners.

When you use the Website or the Service, we may record information about your usage of the Website and the Service, such as but not limited to pages, groups, and favorites you subscribe to, which other users you communicate with, the pages you visit, the frequency and size of data transfers, and information you display about yourself as well as information you click on in the Website and in the Service (including interface elements, settings). If you are logged in, we may associate that information with your Bibdex Account.

The Company and its Partners may use cookies and electronic files called "web beacons" on web pages and in emails in order to properly provide the Website and Service to you and to confirm delivery of communications to you. The Company will not allow third parties to use cookies or web beacons on its Website or Service unless those third parties are bound to a confidentiality agreement that complies with this privacy policy.

The Company automatically receives and records information from your computer, browser, and network activity, including but not limited to your IP address, Website and Service cookie information, software and hardware attributes, and the page you request.

Information Usage

The Company uses information for the following general purposes: to fulfill your requests for certain products and services, improve our services, conduct research, and to contact you about specials and new products or for service announcements or administrative messages relating to the Service.

The Company does not use your email address or other personal information to send commercial or marketing messages without your consent. We may use your email address without further consent for non-marketing or administrative purposes (such as notifying you of major Service changes or for customer service purposes). By creating a Bibdex Account, you grant us permission to send you emails in order to fulfil the normal operations of the Service (such as emailing you to reset your password) which is only revocable by terminating your account.

The Company uses cookies, web beacons, and log file information to: (i) store information so that you will not have to re-enter it during your visit or the next time you visit Bibex; (ii) provide custom, personalized content and information; (iii) monitor the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns; (iv) monitor aggregate metrics such as total number of visitors and pages viewed; and (v) track your entries, submissions, and status in promotions, sweepstakes, and contests.

The Company uses collected data to compute aggregate metrics such as pages viewed and total number of visitors in order to statistically determine trends and patterns about usage and demographics for the purpose of improving the Service.

Anonymity

Once you register with the Website or the Service, you are no longer anonymous to the Company or other users of the system. Information collected from your computer, browser, and network activity may be sufficient to identify you, either directly or indirectly. Aggregate metrics may reveal statistical outliers and anomalies that may directly or indirectly personally identify specific individuals. The Company does not warrant that it can nor will preserve or protect your anonymity.

Any personal information you volunteer in materials that you upload to the Website or the Service may be collected and used by others.

The Company will not sell or rent your personally identifiable information to anyone.

Where the Company has to share your personally identifiable information to third parties, we will not do so unless:

  1. We have your consent to share this information;
  2. We need to share your information to provide the product or service you have requested;
  3. We need to share the information with companies who work on behalf of the Company to provide a product or service to you. Whenever we share your personal information with these trusted business partners, they work under confidentiality agreements that comply with this privacy policy.
  4. We reasonably believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, or as otherwise required or permitted by law;
  5. We respond to warrants, subpoenas, court orders or legal process or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims; or
  6. We find that your actions on our web sites violate the Bibdex Terms of Service or any of our usage guidelines for specific products or services.

We may transfer information about you if the Company is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, the Company will notify you before information about you is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

When you register for a Bibdex Account, your registration information and other data will be transmitted to Canada, the United States, and/or other countries for processing and storage by Bibdex and its affiliates and may be subject to the legal jurisdiction of these countries.

Your Rights to Control Your Information

You have the right to access, verify and update your Bibdex Account information and preferences at any time, including whether you want the Company to contact you about specials and new products.

You may request deletion of your Bibdex Account through the Service by logging in and clicking on "Cancel my account" from the account administration interface.

We may retain your personal information in backups for a reasonable period of time. This information will not be shared with anyone outside of the Company.
